We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and financial health of our innovative SaaS company. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. 
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). 
  • Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and ensure proper internal controls are in place. 
  • Manage the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 and SaaS subscription models. 
  • Prepare detailed analyses of financial results and provide recommendations for cost management and improvement. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Legal, to support accurate billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. 
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and financial projections. 
  • Support audit processes, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in financial reporting. 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accounting staff, offering guidance and support for professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). 
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on SaaS or technology companies. 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, and financial statement preparation. 
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or similar SaaS platforms). 
  • Expertise in Excel and other financial reporting tools. 
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 and its application in SaaS companies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be located in one of the following states: AZ, UT, CO, NV, or OR
